So ((kicks dirt)) it's been a while....eh?

Happy AUTUMN EVERYONE!!!

SHOW NEWS, REVIEWS, and UPDATES:
The United Maine Craftsmen's Cumberland fair in August (a four day event) was a complete success. I learned quite a bit in those four days and owe a debt of gratitude to my fellow UMC "family". Each show with them brings new friends, new surprises, and an opportunity for growth. Many of the veterans were nice enough to give me advice and lend a hand whenever I needed it; especially when I needed to leave my booth!  I had a lot of friends stop by too which was beyond appreciated, as I have never done a show this large by myself. It is always a good feeling to see a familiar face in unfamiliar territory. I also was pleasantly surprised by some repeat customers! How flattering and truly encouraging.....THANK YOU to everyone!

IN other show news, I am PLEASED to announce that in November, I will be participating in the 37th Annual DECA Holiday Craft Fair, right here in South Paris, Maine. This show is fantastic and right in very familiar territory; the high school where my husband and I teach. The students really run the show and do a great job of it too. Am always proud of them and like last year, one of my own cherubs will be part of organizing the event. Here is a link to that show: http://decacraftfair.weebly.com/index.html

Am waiting to hear if I have been accepted into another show in November but of course I'll let you know as soon as I know....ya know?

As for December, here is my line up so far:
**12/3-4/11: United Maine Craftsmen's 34th Annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Show
University of Southern Maine Sullivan Gym: 66 Falmouth Street., Portland, ME
Saturday: 9-5 Sunday: 10-4

**12/10/11: United Maine Craftsmen's 2011 Christmas Arts and Crafts Show (Westbrook Middle School, Westbrook, ME) Saturday: 9-4
As with any UMC show, please head to their website for great coupons and more information. While you're at it, support UMC's artisan efforts by becoming a fan of their FaceBook Page. If you like crafts and fine crafts-person-ship, you really should check them out. And, if you are an artisan living in Maine, you should consider joining! NO they aren't paying me to say that and NO I am not getting compensation. I am just so happy to be a member and I want to pass that along.

I hope that you'll stop by both shops and also think of me when you begin your holiday shopping. I love doing custom orders and will be starting on Holiday themed items soon but for now, my mind is in Autumn and it is my favorite time of year. The leaves are starting to turn and I simply adore making my limited edition blends for fall.
